“New MPB Album – Spring 2020”

These two guitars first met in September of 1994.

Over the years, they’ve probably played over 1000 shows together.

Towns like, Austin, Albany, Abilene, Atlanta, Amsterdam, Asbury Park, Boston, Baltimore, Bend, Bonnyville, Calgary, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Dawson City, Edmonton, Edinburg, Fargo, Galway, Grand Forks, Jasper, Kingston, Kansas City, London Ontario, London England, Minneapolis, Madison, Miami, Nashville, North Hampton, New York City, Ottawa, Philadelphia, Portland, Rochester, Seattle, Saskatoon, Santa Cruz, Toronto, Tampa, Thunder Bay, Victoria, Wakefield, Winnipeg and Yellowknife, to name a few…

The first album they appeared on together was “Jump Back Kerouac” in 1996.

Then in 1997, they were heavily featured on the album “Song and Dance, Man”.

On the song “Rattle The Cage”, the first guitar you hear is the one on the left.
When the song kicks in, the guitar on the right is the one that makes its presence known.

They also made appearances on “Steel Belted Radio” in 1998, “Fools For The Radio” in 2001 and “8:30 Newfoundland” in 2008.

Fast forward 11 years, and they’ve crossed paths, yet again, to record a new MPB album.

But wait!
There’s more!

Over the last two weeks, Ernie, Derek, Dave, Ben, Jeff, Ryan, Jenny, Ruby, my brother Chris, and I have been recording a new album in Edmonton at Riverdale Recorders with Scott Franchuk.

And to top it off, “Song and Dance, Man” and “Fools For The Radio” producer, Marek David is in the “Producer’s Chair” again.

It feels like old home week.

A lot of crazy stuff has happened over the last 4-6 months.

Long story short, there will be a new MPB album in the Spring of 2020.

And yer all invited.
